Provillus and Procerin: A comparison

Male patterned baldness is a growing problem among men. A lot of men suffer from this condition and there are those who began losing their hair during their twenties. Male patterned baldness is scientifically known as androgenetic alopecia. It happens when the body produces too much idhydrotestosterone or DHT. DHT is produced when the female hormone Androgen combines with 5 Alpha reductase and the male hormone testosterone. AS the body creates more and more DHT its affects the hair follicles and the scalp until it contracts. As it becomes worst the scalp is unable to grow hair. To fix this problem, there are several hair loss products in the market. Here are some of those products.

Provillus

Provillus is a DHT blocker. It works the same way as other DHT blockers do by limiting DHT and therefore allowing the follicles to grow and produce hair in the scalp. However, Provillus is not as popular as the other male hair loss remedies. It is not as highly marketed in the US while in Europe it has gain some market share but the doctors are a lot more strict in prescribing it. Some patients who have used Provillus have also complained of chest pains and some even reported developing heart conditions.

Procerin

This product is a more popular male hair loss remedy. This product is composed of a pill that is taken orally and a topical cream which is applied on the scalp. It is a DHT blocker similar to Provillus. In fact it is made of almost the same ingredients as Provillus. The best thing about this product is that it limits DHT but it does not mess up your testosterone level so you do not need to worry about any side effects associated with low testosterone levels. This makes this product really popular.
